The “Funky” is the eclectic, the fun, the unapologetic. The “Sexy” is the allure, the mystic, the intrigue. The “Cool” is the fresh, the invigorating, the feeling of being free. CDG has a passion for beautiful, colorful and rare jewelry, clothing, and other accessories. During my first visit to Lagos, Nigeria, I was blown away by all the colors, fabric styles, and extraordinarily intricate jewelry available. I’m blessed with having a partner that was born and raised in Lagos, Nigeria. So, having access to local materials and skilled artisans was fundamental to creating and achieving my vision for CDG. Additionally, it was very crucial to develop trusted relationships with local artisans to source materials for my jewelry, clothing, and other accessories, that would support the distinctive “Funky.Sexy.Cool.” flair I wanted for Classy Diva Gifts. Not only did this venture allow us to share our creativity with the world; it also gave earning opportunities to all the Nigerian artisans we work with closely on designing items for Classy Diva Gifts. They are able to provide jobs and support the local economy. Hence, giving back to our ancestral land and people.
